BioThane Product Care Instructions

Our equipment has a long lifespan when used and cared for correctly. All equipment should be cleaned of any debris before storing. Please rinse with fresh water after use in salt water and sand. Fresh warm water can be used to clean, along with a gentle soap to make gear look as good as new!

Use and Fit

Collars should fit snuggly around the top of the dog’s neck. You should be able to fit 2 fingers under the collar comfortably, once fitted. Width of collars should be determined by the size of the dog’s neck (i.e. thinner width collars should only be used for small dogs or puppies). Length and width of leashes should be determined by the size of your dog (i.e. larger dogs require heavier leashes with stronger hardware). Please talk to our staff to ensure your leash and collar are the appropriate size.

Please use our gear thoughtfully, ethically and under the supervision and guidance of a qualified dog trainer. Always check the condition of your gear before use to ensure the safety of you and your dog (i.e. check screws are secure and snaps/buckles are in good working condition).
